The quiet and serene atmosphere within the grounds of the Manor House gives you of feeling of being away from the fast pace of everyday life. As you drive out of the grounds there is a panoramic view of St.Michael's Mount and Penzance. Kenegie Manor is 1.5 miles from the shops, galleries, beach and eating places of Penzance town. Just a few hundred yards down the hill is Gulval, the nearest village to the Manor, which has a general store with post office and off-license. The local pub (Coldstreamer Inn Tel: 01736 362072 booking is advised) opposite the church is a Popular and welcoming inn with a comfortable dining atmosphere serving very enjoyable food with local fish specialties. Well kept ales served by a friendly landlady and staff, Sunday lunch is recommended. There are excellent beaches at Marazion and Hayle. Also nearby is the world famous art centre of St.Ives where you can enjoy the excellent atmosphere of its picturesque cobbled streets and golden beaches.

Penzance is an ideal centre from which to explore the west of Cornwall. You are never more than 10 miles from the other popular towns, top beaches and the "hidden" corners of the peninsula. Penzance is easily accessible by road, rail and coach with Kenegie just a short taxi ride from the train and coach stations.
